ALKALI LAKE (R03)

Visited August 2, 2008. 

 

This place is one of those that is out in the middle of nowhere.  Christmas Valley Junction is just north of it, and a nice ride to the Paulina Mountains and Bend.  Some loose gravel on that highway in a construction zone. 
Notice the edge of the smoke in the distance...those California forest fires.
